The Board of Directors has received a number of questions since we issued our memo on November 26th regarding recent COVID-19 restrictions, including whether a member in a specific, individual set of circumstances will be “allowed” by the Board to enter the Club given our recent direction.
Your Board members are not public health officials and we have neither the ability nor the power to rule on individual circumstances.
As with many public health directives that have been issued during this pandemic, it is up to you as a responsible member of society in general — and of the Chester Curling Club in particular — to comply with public health regulations and the direction given by the Club, as they apply to your particular situation.
Much like the government will have to lockdown the economy if Nova Scotians do not make responsible decisions and the incidence of COVID-19 increases in the province, the Board’s only option will be to shut the doors of the Club to everyone should the virus rear its head among our members.
Please make your decision to come to the Club responsibly and, if you do come to the Club, remember to follow all of the protocols in place to safeguard your health and the health of your fellow curlers
